Refund Policy

At Blackwing Systems LLC, we stand behind our construction management platform. This policy outlines when and how you can request a refund. By using our Service, you agree to this policy.

1. Refund Eligibility

Refund Window

Full refunds are available within 14 days of your initial purchase or subscription start date. After 14 days, refunds are prorated for unused time on monthly plans only.

Valid Reasons for Refund

  • Technical issues that remain unresolved after reasonable support attempts
  • Key features missing or not functioning as advertised
  • Non-delivery of promised core functionality (e.g., project scheduling, bidding tools, estimating, invoicing)

Non-Refundable

  • Change of mind or "no longer needed"
  • Usage after the 14-day refund window
  • Setup fees, custom integrations, or professional services
  • Annual subscription plans (credits may be offered at our discretion)
  • Free trial periods that have converted to paid subscriptions
  • Additional team seat charges for time already used

2. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund:

  1. Contact our support team at support@blackwingsystems.com within the 14-day refund window.
  2. Provide your purchase details, the reason for your refund request, and any supporting evidence (e.g., screenshots of issues, support ticket references).
  3. We will review your request within 3–5 business days and respond with an approval, denial, or alternative resolution such as account credits or an extended trial.

3. Refund Process

  • Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days
  • Monthly plans: Prorated refund for the unused portion of the current billing period
  • Annual plans: No refunds per contract terms; account credits may be offered at our discretion
  • We reserve the right to deny requests that do not meet the eligibility criteria above, or to offer credits or discounts as an alternative resolution

Refund amounts are calculated based on your subscription tier:

  • Specialty Contractor: $49/month ($39/month billed annually)
  • General Contractor: $70/month ($60/month billed annually)
  • Additional team seats: $10/month each ($8/month billed annually)

4. Free Trials and Cancellations

All subscription plans include a 7-day free trial. A valid credit card is required to start the trial. You will not be charged during the trial period.

  • If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged
  • If you do not cancel, your payment method will be charged automatically at the end of the trial period
  • Free trial periods are non-refundable once they convert to a paid subscription
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no refunds are provided for prior billing periods

5. Chargebacks

We ask that you contact us directly before initiating a chargeback with your payment provider. We are committed to resolving disputes fairly and efficiently. Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may result in account suspension pending investigation.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
